PERFORMANCE UPDATE: NVIDIA GeForce 6100 vs. ATI RS482

General Performance & 3D Graphics
No one would ever try to say that 1621 is a great 3DMark03 score or that a 730 3Dmark05 is great performance. However, the ATI and NVIDIA integrated graphics did finish both benchmarks - something that many value solutions fail to do - and the ATI was the better performer in 3D Graphics.
The ATI RS482 performs significantly better in both FutureMark 3D graphics benchmarks, but the NVIDIA 6100 holds a very small lead in PCMark2005. Based on General Graphics and Performance tests only, we would conclude that the RS482 is a bit faster than NVIDIA 6100. However, the NVIDIA 6100 is the mainstream chipset of the 6100 family, with the 6150 at the top. So, it's reasonable to expect that the 6150 will be even faster, and may well gain the lead in Integrated Graphics Performance. We will run these benchmarks again when the 6150 is finally available in the marketplace.

Oh, nevermind, I read that wrong.pvfcm - Thursday, October 6, 2005 - link
maybe the paragraph saying nvidia has no AMD integrated graphics experience or something to that effect should say nvidia's reintroducing AMD integrated graphics. nforce 2 had integrated graphics (though that's not a recent chipset and not for K8 but whatever, fact remains at one time they did have integrated graphics... i think)southpawuni - Thursday, October 6, 2005 - link
Yes they did.Both the Nforce1 and 2.
Nforce1 used a GF2MX and NF2 used a GF4MX. Both DX7 solutions, with the GF4MX being a faster GF2MX essentially.

yeah, they didn't implement the (lower IQ) optimizations and plus we thought we'd bump the clockspeeds a bit....like 40%NOW see we're winning!
