Netgear PA301
Bay Networks entry in the competition, the Netgear PA301, is a snazzier-looking card than the other two. It's made of a blue-green board as opposed to the standard Army green, and has two adequate miniature LEDs on board for Link and Activity. Although it comes from a strong brand name with considerable market penetration, the PA301 was only available at one of the online stores we looked at. That was good enough to get the honors for the least expensive card, though; buy.com has it for $48.82
