The reader should note that 3dfx's acquisition by NVIDIA will result in them not being able to provide support for their cards, so purchase a Voodoo3/4/5 card at your own risk. This week we see some price fluctuations from the 3dfx segment. The popular Voodoo5 5500 fell $7 this week, putting it at $112. It's PCI counterpart is still much more expensive at $166. The Voodoo3 3500 remains a good deal at $64 for those looking for basic 3D acceleration and TV tuner capabilities on their PC.

ATI's video card lineup saw little changed is price for the third price guide in a row. The only significant drop in price came from the Radeon All-In-Wonder, which fell $30, putting it at $185. The Radeon LE remains a good value this week at $68. Please read our recent review of the LE for information on how to unlock it's hidden potential.

NVIDIA's line of GeForces saw some decent price reductions this week. The flagship GeForce3 saw a $10 drop in price, putting this overpowered card at $315. The GeForce2 Ultra becomes a better value every week. This time, the Ultra falls $16, putting it at $215. The Pro also remains a good value this week at $142. We should note that newer GeForce2 Pro cards use 5.5ns RAM instead of 5.0ns RAM however, it is still clocked at 200/400MHz. The overclocking potential of these new GeForce2 Pro's is yet to be determined, but stock performance should be identical to the previous Pro's.

The Kyro II show's little change in price again this week, dropping only $2 to $108. The KYRO II is a unique card because it uses a tile based rendering engine. Check out our KYRO II review for more info.

This week we add the Matrox G450eTV Marvel to the Matrox lineup. This card lets you watch and capture TV signals in your PC along with some other interesting features. For more information, please read our latest TV Tuner Card Roundup.
