All the tedious work like finding the best prices and locating reputable retailers has already been done so all you have to do is figure out what product is right for you. As always we encourage the reader to investigate every retailer's reliability before ordering, but we have tried to eliminate typically problematic ones from our price guides.

This Week
Another slow week for Intel prices. The Pentium 4 continues to slowly drop in price. The high end Pentium III also saw a few modest price reductions. Also, the new 850MHz part joins the Celeron family.
AMD prices continue to fall this week, although not as significantly as in previous weeks. To make up for the "reduced" price reductions, we add the new 1.2GHz and 1.0GHz Palomino MP and the 1.4GHz Athlon-B.
Again, there is not much action in the video card market this week. We see 3dfx and ATI prices begin to rise. But high end NVIDIA cards continue to fall in price. The rest of NVIDIA's line and the KYRO II remain steady this week.
